A little about me
I'm Dave, the person behind Below Zero Media Production.
I've always been drawn to the outdoors, adventure and experiences that get you out of your comfort zone. Whether it's spending time in the woods, exploring somewhere new, chasing the perfect shot, or simply being around people who are passionate about what they do, I've always been drawn to experiences that create a story worth telling.
That same mindset is what I bring to my work.
I'm naturally curious and always looking for the next opportunity to create something different. I enjoy getting to know the people behind a business, understanding what makes a property special, experiencing an event from the inside, or immersing myself in an outdoor adventure. Those experiences give me the perspective to capture more than just what something looks like, they allow me to capture **what it feels like to be there.**
I'm also someone who takes pride in hard work. I'm dependable, driven, detail-oriented, and willing to put in the time it takes to get the job done right. Whether it's a quick social media shoot or a full-scale production, I show up ready to work, ready to create, and ready to tackle whatever the project throws at me.
I don't want to be just another person you hire with a camera.
I want to be someone you can count on. Someone who gets invested in the project and genuinely cares about the finished product.
If there's a story worth telling, I'm ready to go find it.
A cinematic approach to authentic storytelling
I don't believe great stories can always be forced or scripted. The best moments often happen naturally, and my approach is to be present, pay attention, and know when to step in and when to simply let the moment unfold.
Whether I'm capturing a home at first light, following a business through its day-to-day work, documenting a wedding, or waiting in the woods for the perfect moment, I look beyond the obvious. I'm searching for the details, the emotion, the movement, the atmosphere, and the moments that make an experience feel real.
I bring a calm energy and creativity to every production, but I also believe in being flexible and adaptable. Weather changes. Plans change. Moments happen unexpectedly. Sometimes the best shot is the one you never planned for.
That's where storytelling comes in.
The goal isn't simply to create beautiful images or a polished video. It's to create something that takes you back to a feeling, to the atmosphere of that place, the excitement of that day, the pride behind the work, or the people who made the experience meaningful.
Because years from now, the most valuable thing about a photograph or film won't be that it was perfectly produced.
It will be that it made you remember exactly how it felt to be there.

Every story starts somewhere.
Have something worth telling? I'd love to hear it. Let's talk about your vision, find what makes it unique and create something that people don't just see, but feel.
